Dr. Layla Kamoun graduated from The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1993 and received the Charles A. Oliver Memorial Prize in Ophthalmology.
She interned in Transitional Medicine at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 1994 and completed her residency at the Scheie Eye Institute in the Department of Ophthalmology, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1997. From 1998 to 2000 Dr. Kamoun was a clinical associate and an instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
She joined Sanatoga Ophthalmology Associates in 2000 and has remained there until October 2009 when she joined Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania. Doctor Kamoun practices Comprehensive Ophthalmology at Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania. She specializes in cataract surgery and has a special interest in lid surgery.
Dr. Kamoun has privileges at Pottstown Medical Center, Limerick Surgical Center, and Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Kamoun is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
