Lawrence Kenney joined Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania in October of 2009. As an undergraduate he graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. He attended Temple University School of Medicine and performed a rotating surgical internship at Temple University Hospital. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland including a two month rotation in Ophthalmic Pathology at The Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore.
After completion of his training in 1987, Dr. Kenney worked in private practice at Sanatoga Ophthalmology Associates in Pottstown, Pennsylvania until joining Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania in 2009. Dr. Kenney has been an Assistant Surgeon at The Wills Eye Institute since 1987 and also has privileges at Wills Eye Institute, Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, and Phoenixville Hospital. He has traveled to Mombasa, Kenya to serve as an attending surgeon at The Lighthouse for Christ Eye Center to perform cataract surgery and staff the general and private clinics. He is also a member of the Lighthouse for Christ Board of Directors as Volunteer Coordinator.
Dr. Kenney is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
